Welcome Autumn!

by Cynthia Fazekas

Apple-y goodness!

Many people call autumn their favorite season. Cool autumn air breezes in to refresh everything, while deciduous trees make the world grandly colorful. For those of us in the tea world, it’s prime tea time. Vacations are over, everyone returns to their normal flow of life, and hot beverages keep the machine in motion.

The advent of autumn means it is time to spice up your tea menu! To evoke the warm cozy feeling of autumn, incorporate harvest icons like apples, pumpkins and nuts. Add a little spice - cinnamon, clove, ginger and cardamom - and you’ve got beautiful fall flavors. Loose leaf chai blends are an easy way to achieve this, especially those that incorporate fruit.

Our tea suggestions for September are:

  • Spiced Apple Chai - A lively blend of black tea, Masala spices and bright notes of crisp apple will delight your senses.
  • Pumpkin Spice - Premium black tea from Sri Lanka flavored with pumpkin and exotic spices.
  • Spiced Green - Fresh green tea from China with the warm flavors of cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger. Rich, inviting aroma, zesty flavor and hearty finish.
  • Candy Apple - Premium black tea from Sri Lanka flavored with caramel and apple pieces.
  • Almond Oolong Combining savory almond flavor with the bright, fruity taste of Formosa oolong tea, our Almond Oolong is a great stand-alone drink as well as the perfect dessert complement.

  • Enjoying harvest bounty is a great way to embrace the seasonal change. Apple festivals and pumpkins are coming up soon, so be ready with a fall-friendly menu!
